Pitch Black Possible SIRs: Giratina Stealing the Spotlight with Darkrai Vibes?

Japan’s Abyss Eye drops in just a few days (May 22), and the hype for English Pitch Black (July 17) is already pitch perfect. We’ve seen the four main Pokemon ex (including those shiny new Mega Evolutions), but the real chase cards ... the Special Illustration Rares (SIRs) ...are where this set could shine brightest. The Confirmed Hits So Far We’ve got early looks at some premium artwork, including a stunning Mega Chandelure SIR that’s giving major spooky, starry-night energy. It’s easily one of the early standouts for collectors. Trainer cards like Gwynn are also popping up in SIR treatment. But the internet is buzzing about something else right now... That Giratina Full Art – Roman Pillars and Legends Arceus Vibes Word is spreading about a Giratina full art (possibly around the /081 mark) featuring classic Roman/Greek-style pillars in the background. This screams Pokémon Legends: Arceus influence - think Distortion World meets ancient ruins, with Giratina looking absolutely menacing....

WrestleMania 42 Recap: A Night Late, But the Moments Still Hit Hard + Big Card Drops This Week

I had to watch WrestleMania 42 a day behind schedule this year ... life got in the way ... but I finally powered through Night 1 on Sunday and finished Night 2 late last night. Man, what a ride. Two nights of chaos, title changes, surprises, and one absolute statement performance that has everyone talking.

Night 1 Highlights (Saturday, April 18)

Night 1 kicked off with high energy and delivered several big moments:

LA Knight teamed with The Usos to take down Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and iShowSpeed.

Jacob Fatu picked up a solid win over Drew McIntyre in an unsanctioned match.

Brie Bella and Paige win Tag Team Titles at Wrestlemania w Krain Sports

In a Fatal 4-Way, Paige and Brie Bella (with Nikki Bella in their corner) captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships from Nia Jax & Lash Legend, beating out teams including Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria.

Becky Lynch dethroned AJ Lee to win the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Gunther defeated Seth Rollins in what many are calling a show-stealer.

Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to become the new Women’s World Champion.

In the main event, Cody Rhodes retained the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton.

Plenty of title movement and feel-good returns already set the tone for a memorable weekend.

Night 2 Highlights (Sunday, April 19) .. And Wow, Oba!!!

Night 2 opened with the match everyone was buzzing about: Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar.

Oba Femi vs Brock Lesnar at.Wrestlemania 42 with Krain Sports

“The Ruler” made his WrestleMania debut and absolutely dominated. In under five minutes, Oba hit his signature Fall From Grace sitout powerbomb and pinned The Beast clean. Brock left his gloves and boots in the ring .. a clear signal that this could be the end of an era for one of WWE’s all-time greats. I legit cried. The torch has officially been passed. Oba Femi is here, and the entire stadium was chanting his name. If you missed it, go watch the highlights right now. The future of WWE just announced itself in the loudest way possible.

The rest of the card kept the momentum going:

Trick Williams defeated Sami Zayn to win the United States Championship ... his first major singles title on the big stage.

“The Demon” Finn Bálor defeated Dominik Mysterio.

Rhea Ripley dethroned Jade Cargill to win the WWE Women’s Championship (with some help from Iyo Sky).

Penta retained the Intercontinental Championship in a wild ladder match in what I thought was the best match of Wrestlemania.

In the main event, Roman Reigns defeated CM Punk in a brutal, bloody war to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship. Punk gave everything, but Roman’s Spear sealed the deal and put The Tribal Chief back on top.

WrestleMania 42 delivered on spectacle, new stars rising, and legacy moments. Oba Femi stealing the show on Night 2 might be the biggest takeaway ... the “Next Big Thing” label feels earned.

While WrestleMania had us glued to the screen, the card collecting world stayed busy too.

The Big One: Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution... Ascended Heroes Booster Bundles Drop Next Week

If you’re into Pokémon, mark your calendars - this is the second-biggest highlight of the week after WrestleMania.

The Ascended Heroes Booster Bundles release on April 24. Each bundle packs six booster packs from the Mega Evolution ... Ascended Heroes expansion, giving you a concentrated shot at those powerful Mega ex cards, full-art promos, and the chase hits everyone’s hunting.

Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle from KrainSports

This is a huge release for collectors and players alike. The Ascended Heroes set has been building serious hype since earlier drops (ETBs, poster collections, etc.), and these bundles make it easier to rip without opening those precious Pokemon Center ETBs. Whether you’re chasing Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, Mega Feraligatr ex, or just loading up on playable cards, these bundles are going to move quick. Keep an eye on local shops and online drops ... they tend to sell out fast.

Final Thoughts

WrestleMania 42 reminded us why we love this stuff: new heroes rising (shoutout again to Oba Femi - The Ruler is undeniable), legends passing torches, and unforgettable main event drama. On the collecting side, it’s another stacked week with football chrome, soccer drops, and that massive Pokémon bundle on Friday.

What was your favorite WrestleMania moment? Did Oba Femi shock you as much as he did me? And are you ripping Finest Football or loading up on Ascended Heroes bundles? Drop your thoughts in the comments ... let’s talk sports and cards.

Stay tuned to Krain Sports for more recaps, release guides, and hobby tips. Until next time… Oba!

The Bot Takeover: How Walmart’s Queue Systems (and Others) Are Supercharging Automated Checkout in the TCG and Sports Card World

Hey collectors, if you’ve tried snagging the latest Pokémon TCG drop, One Piece tins, or a fresh Panini/Topps sports card box at Walmart lately, you already know the drill. You refresh the page at drop time, get thrown into a “queue,” wait 10 - 30 minutes… and by the time your spot comes up, everything is sold out. Meanwhile, thousands of units vanish in seconds. Welcome to 2026, where retailer queue systems - supposedly designed to give everyone a fair shot - have instead turned high-demand trading card drops into a bot playground. What started as an anti-scalper tool has become the very reason botting and automated checkout tools are exploding. Let’s break it down. Why Retailers Rolled Out Queue Systems in the First Place Walmart, Target, Pokémon Center, and others introduced virtual queues during massive restocks (think Walmart Wednesday Pokémon drops, Prismatic Evolutions bundles, One Piece OP-13 tins, or Bowman basketball releases). The goal was simple: Slow down the flood of tra...
